how to find a nether fortress
How To Find The Nether Fortress or nether fortress finder
Nether Fortresses tend to spawn in "strips" aligning along the Z-axis (north/south) in thenether. If you don't see aNether Fortress within 100 blocks or so north/south of your starting position, it's best to search diagonally or east/west.
Nether fortresses generate in all Nether biomes. To do so, the game splits the Nether into regions in which one of either a fortress or a bastion remnant can generate. The regions are 432×432 blocks in Java Edition and 480×480 blocks in Bedrock Edition.
Each region has a 4 chunk separation located on the south and east borders of the region in which neither a fortress nor a bastion can generate.
This leaves only a 368×368 block section in Java Edition or a 416×416 block section in Bedrock Edition where a structure can generate. Two structures will never generate in the same region, however, they might overlap if they generate close to the separation border.
In Java Edition, the chance of a fortress generating instead of a bastion is 2⁄5 (40%), while in Bedrock Edition the chance of a fortress generating instead of a bastion is 1⁄3 (33.3%).
Nether fortresses can generate buried in Netherrack. In such a case, the interior is not filled with Netherrack; all hallways and passages are clear except for open walkways and bridges. It is possible but rare for Glowstone to generate inside the fortress pathways.

How to find a Nether Fortress in Minecraft – nether fortress finder
The quest is up to many players: how to find one? Like all structures, Nether Fortresses have a specific way of generating in the world. If you explore the wrong way (we use this term loosely), you might end up never finding one! We're going to go over some basics to find a Nether Fortress ASAP.
# 1: Look in the Nether (obviously)
We only included this tip as a formality. Yet, surprisingly enough, some people might not know that this is necessary. It's good! We are not all seasoned veterans!
# 2: Don't explore directly from north to south.
Nether Strongholds tend to appear in bands that line up with other strongholds on the Z-axis (running north to south). If you look north and south of the Nether and don't see a fortress, it's best to start exploring from east to west. Since they tend to line up with the Z-axis, it could mean you're just not close enough to any of these bands to see them.

# 3: When you find one, explore from north to south.
Again, they tend to appear in bands on the Z-axis. If you find one, it means that there is a good chance that you will find more on the same line going north to south. You now know that you are on one of these tapes, so it is best to continue to find out more about nether fortress finder.
# 4: consider a night vision potion
You will usually need to find a Nether Fortress to gain access to a Night Vision Potion. Nonetheless, if you attacked the one you saw, use the Void Warts you found inside to get Night Vision Potions and explore further. The contrast provided by Night Vision is beneficial.
# 5: Move a significant distance away from other strongholds, and the fortress remains.
Work from Generation Models: Do not look near other fortresses and stronghold remains. The generation code keeps them away from each other. Even though they generate in a band on the Z-axis, you still have to move a significant distance away from one to find another.

Before we answer the question "how to find nether fortress?", we need to know how to get to the Nether fortress. Well, the initial stage in finding nether fortress is to get to the Nether, which is an entire other measurements from Overworld.
In this case, you can't simply book a plane ticket to this world. So as to get to the Nether, you should build a portal that will ship you to another dimension. Besides, this portal can be utilized to go between the Nether and build the Overworld whenever you like.
The main step is to assemble your own mode of transportation. It's really simpler than it sounds. All you need is Obsidian and either Flint and Steel or Fire Charge. You can begin by building a rectangular formed edge from Obsidian. The size can vary from 4×5 blocks.
After that, the edge must be enacted by utilizing either Flint and Steel or Fire Charge. You need to put your cursor on the bottom block of Obsidian and utilize any of the two things to put fire inside the frame. When it's activated, the inside of the frame will begin shining and turn purple.
Well done, you can make a trip to the Nether and invest energy in finding the nether fortress. up to 23×23 squares. Now, all you have to do is only stroll through the purple territory of the portal and you will be moved to the opposite side. There is only one thing left to reply: how to find the nether fortress?

It goes a long way, and it's just a lot for computers to render. Mine works at about twenty, but for slower computers, I'd only recommend around 15. Potions can't be used because a brewing stand required blaze rods to make and blazed spawn inNether Fortresses Only.

How to find a Fortress in The Nether world?
They're there, and will spawn in every world (assuming you aren't using areally old version of Minecraft), though, they can sometimes be difficult to find.
There are a few "quirks" in the generation code that you can take advantage of in order to make finding the nether fortresses easier.Tips taken from The Minecraft Wiki on Nether Fortresses:
- Nether Fortresses tend to spawn in "strips" aligning along the Z axis (north/south) in the nether. (Tested over 200 seeds so far, the trend is strong in all tested seeds – confirmed with AMIDST.)
- If you don't see a Nether Fortress within 100 blocks or so north/south of your starting position, it's best to search diagonally or east/west. If you continue searching north/south, you may be between strips and never find one.
- On the flip side, if you've found a Nether Fortress, it's best to search north/south from there to find more.
- When trying to spot nether fortresses, a potion of nightvision can help considerably.
If you are not opposed to using external tools or mods, there are several tools that predict where structures will be generated and create a map for you. The only one I know of off the top of my head (although there are several out there) is Amidst which creates a map of your specific seed and should work in the nether as well. This will help you find the structures without having to create those chunks by exploring the area first.
Is Nether world almost limitless like overworld or limited size?
The Nether isexactly as limitless as the overworld! (this means, there istechnically a limit several million blocks out at which point it starts overwriting old chunks, but there is no chance you can reach that limit "accidentally", you need to travel in a straight line for several real-life days without stopping.)

Is there only 1 Fortress in Nether world or many?
There are many! While there is a hard limit of three Strongholds per world, there is no limit to the number of Nether Fortresses; you can keep on traveling farther and farther, and new fortresses will keep springing up along the way. nether fortress finder
Requirements
If you're trying to find a nether fortress, go to settings, and then Video Settings. Just turn up the brightness all of the way and the render chunks some. Not all the way, because it can causelots of lag for even fast computers because of the "Deepness" of the Nether.
Seed
For technical reasons, you need to know the seed of your world to use Nether Fortress Finder, unless, of course, you want to find a seed for a new world. If you're playingSSP, the app is able to fetch the seed from your savegame. Alternatively, you can use the/seed command ingame. InSMP, you can use the same command if you have sufficient rights. Otherwise, however, you're dependent on the server owner, who started the world and has access to the savegame and config files.
Technical
This app uses some relatively new web technologies. As a result, some features may be disabled for older browsers. I recommend using the latest version of a major browser such as Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari.
Seed Selection
The first thing you should do is select a seed and version. You can either type it in manually, or you canload it from your savegame. The latter can be done by clicking on"Load from Save…" and selecting your level.dat, or bydrag&dropping the level.dat file into your browser window.
Level.dat is a small file located in the folder of every Minecraft savegame. You can find the savegames in the saves folder of your Minecraft installation. On Windows, you can use%appdata%\.minecraft\saves to get to that folder.
Levels allow you to store and reuse seeds on this website, without having to load your savegame every time. When loading a seed from a level, the seed will automatically be stored as a level.
You should also know that a seed is always anumber (up to around 20 digits). If you type in anything else (like letters), it will be converted to a number. The app does this the same way Minecraft does, so it's safe to use letters (and other characters) as well.
Navigation
Once you entered your seed and version you can start using the map. Toscroll, use your arrow keys while your mouse cursor points at the map, or move your mouse while holding down the left mouse button. You can use the slider below the map or your mousewheel forzooming.
The lower inputs allow you to go to a specific point (e.g., your base) of the map and set a marker there. You can always remove and add the marker by double-clicking on the map. The "Save Map" button allows you to save the currently shown map as a png image file.
Touchscreen
When using a touch-enabled device, an extra option for enabling/disabling touchscreen control will appear below the map. With that option enabled, you can drag the map with your finger to navigate, you can pinch to zoom in and out, and you can tap and hold to set a marker on the map. By double-tapping on the map, you can quickly enable/disable the functionality as well.
It goes a long way, and it's just a lot for computers to render. Mine works at about twenty, but for slower computers, I'd only recommend around 15. Potions can't be used because a brewing stand required blaze rods to make and blazed spawn inNether Fortresses Only.
Go to the lava level, Y 31. you have a higher chance of finding them there. I watched this youtuber and he demonstrated you have a higher chhance of finding it down there. Also look for bridges of netherack. If you do not see one you can still find a nether fortress. If you did, follow it and I guarteee you it will lead to a nether fortress. nether fortress finder
